Placing videos on your site from other websites
Video always needs to be hosted somewhere to show up on the web. We offer a private hosting video server to all customers, simply go to your Video Library to upload a video securely.
However, sometimes that video is already hosted, ( like YouTube or Facebook ) and more easily accessible to just place it's code on your site, this is called 'embedding' but it's really just cut and paste! This article is about that method.
Google Photos or Google Drive Videos
If you are looking to use a video from Google Photos or Google Drive, please check out this guide.
Go to Facebook > Find the video you want to embed
Click to enlarge and below the video, click "..."
Select Embed and copy the code
Go to your shower page manager > Inside the text box, choose Text
On its own line, paste the code and SAVE CHANGES.
Other types of hosted videos
The software that WebBabyShower runs on, automatically embeds (public) videos and photos from YouTube, Twitter, Vimeo, Flickr, and a few other video hosting service websites.
All you have to do is copy and paste the video URL to one of your Web Baby Shower pages. You need to get the video or photo URL from the external service provider. You also need to make sure that the video is publicly available; you cannot embed private photos or videos.
Make sure that the URL is on its own line when you cut and paste it.
If you simply copy and paste the video’s or photo’s URL into any of your Web Baby Shower pages, Web Baby Shower will embed the video in its default size.
If Web Baby Shower fails to embed your video or photo, you will get a hyperlink to the video or photo on the external website. Please make sure that you copied and pasted the full, correct video URL and that it is a public video.
There is a specific Video Album in your WebBabyShower and you are welcome to embed videos and/or photos from the following sites on the Video Album or on any of the pages in your Web Baby Shower*:
